According to Ondo Catholic News Letter, on the 24th of November 2017, one of our own was *kidnapped* at Ore while on his way to Lagos. He boarded a commercial bus heading to Lagos, unfortunately they were Robbed by some gun men at Ore.
The gun men took some of them away on gun point. The matter was reported to the Police station there at Ore. The Police took statements and asked family members to go home that they will swing into action. The Police did not make any move to trace the kidnappers. Rather the Police advised that we should cooperate with the kidnappers for the safety of our brother.
The next day one of the kidnappers called and said they are in possession of  our brother, that we should make *10 million  Naira* available if we need him alive. We intimated the Police about the conversation, but the police still insisted we make money available for the kidnappers such that our brother can get his freedom.
We became very helpless such that we had no choice than to  bargain and reach an agreement with them. They gave us instruction on how to deliver the money to them in that same Ondo State. The cash was delivered to them. They later said an Okada man will bring our brother near the Police station. We were at the Police station when the Okada man brought our brother and the police was thanking the Okada man instead of arresting him to know where he took this guy from.
Three other victims were released that same night of 28th of November 2017 at 7.16 pm. The funniest part of this story is that the Commissioner of Police, Ondo State, Mr Olubgenbga Adeyanju shamelessly announced on TV, Radio and Newspapers that the Police in Ondo state rescued the victims from the hands of kidnappers without paying any Ransom. It was also published in the Guardian newspaper on the 30th of November 2017. This goes to show that  kidnappers work hand in hand with the Police especially in Ondo state. Please beware of evil Police in Ondo state. Keep posting until it gets to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who happens to be an anti corruption crusader. Ondo state Police commissioner should be  thoroughly investigated.
Meanwhile, The Police in Ondo state have described as untrue a statement credited to the state Catholic mission that the police did not rescue three kidnap suspects in Ore area of the state. The police reaction is coming on the heels of a statement allegedly issued by the secretary of the catholic diocese faulting the police claim that the three suspects were rescued at the kidnappers’ den. Addressing reporters in Akure, the state commissioner of police, Gbenga Adeyanju said the statement was targeted at rubbishing the command.
