Uforma Okenini who gave details of the alleged fraudulent activities of the PDP members and DSIEC officials. The APC statement said, "while we were skeptical about the corrupt and inept PDP government ever conducting an election that will have a semblance of fairness, the APC in Delta State and Ughelli North in particular decided to prepare for and participate in the election. We launched our campaigns and mobilized our teeming supporters towards the election. We campaigned throughout the nooks and crannies of the entire LGA and our supporters were fully mobilized and ready for the election. We were determined to send a clear signal to the PDP that they have no place in Ughelli North. We were informed that election materials were brought to the DSIEC office in Ughelli yesterday and we mobilized our supporters to the venue to ensure that the materials were protected and distributed to the various wards this morning. At the point of distribution, we insisted on seeing the result sheets and other sensitive materials but the DSIEC official claimed that he forgot the original result sheets in Asaba. We insisted that he must bring the result sheets before the distribution of materials. At that point, PDP thugs started shooting guns and our boys scampered for safety. The PDP thugs then set the DSIEC office ablaze in order to cover up their atrocities. We want to state clearly for everyone to hear that no elections took place in Ughelli North and we will not accept any results announced by the corrupt Okowa government and its DSIEC. We also want to state very clearly that anybody that Okowa purports to swear in as chairman or councilor in Ughelli North will not be accepted by the people of Ughelli North. We, the people of Ughelli North LGA reserve the right to civil disobedience to actualize our right to choose our leaders. We urge Okowa and his DSIEC to not take any actions that will precipitate unnecessary crisis in Ughelli North LGA. The APC chairmanship candidate in Uvwie, Engr.
